Robert Troy Osborne, age 80, of Independence, Virginia died on December 4, 2020 at Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta, NC.  He was born on November 19, 1940 in Baywood, Virginia to Troy and Eula Haga Osborne.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Osborne.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and David Wyatt of Independence, Virginia; three grandchildren, Olivia and Brian Crockett of Wytheville, Virginia, Emma and Seth Boyles of Galax, Virginia, and Garret Wyatt of Independence, Virginia; two great granddaughters, Annalee Crockett and Eloise Boyles; five sisters, Dorothy Blevins of Independence, Virginia, Mary and Charles Trulock of Florida, Jean Reeves of Sparta, North Carolina, Nell Osborne of Independence, Virginia, and Jane and Bobby Gentry of Ennice, North Carolina; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Baptist Church Family Life Center in Independence, VA by Rev. David Osborne.
