Roger Lee Billings, 71, of Independence, VA passed away Tuesday, April 27 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Son & Daughter-in-law Jason & Denise Billings of Independence, VA
Two grandchildren Gage & Caleb Billings & three Step Grandchildren Daniell Jones, Hunter & Dakota Cornett.
Brother-in-laws & Spouses Bobby & Debbie hash, Eddie & Shelia Hash all of Independence, VA
Mother-in-law Catherine Hash of Independence, VA
Grand furbaby Autum, several nieces & nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by his parents Jim & Ruth Billings, Sister & Brother-in-law Libby & Chief Perry, Father-in-law Tuck Hash.

Roger was in the Army two years active, four years reserve.  He was a member of the VFW in Independence, VA, a member of Beach Grove Baptist Church as an active member for over 20 years. Sunday School Teacher, superintendent, and Deacon.  Also a member of the Grayson Camp Gideons and a charter and life member of Independence Volunteer Rescue Squad.

His career was working at Darco where he retired after 40 years, with his last position as Vice President Technical Management.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, April 30 2021 at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Independence, VA.  Service will include VFW, Alleghany Honor Guard and Independence Volunteer Rescue Squad.  Meal to follow in fellowship hall.  Bring food to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Flowers or donations to Mountain Valley Hospice, Alleghany Honor Guard, IVRS or charity of donor's choice.  Military service at graveside by Grayson County VFW Post 7726
