It is with great sadness that the family of Ronnie Booker Wiles announces his passing at his home on the early morning hours of August 2, 2025, surrounded by his family.  Ronnie was born in Jefferson, North Carolina on October 20, 1953, to Albert Vaughan and Beulah Irene Blevins Wiles.  Ronnie's life was greatly impacted by the simplicity of mountain culture which surrounded him all his life.  At a young age he learned the value of work ethic and was a dedicated hard-working man throughout of his life.  He placed a great deal of value in conversing with nature and never took lightly the abundance of beauty that was always around him.  He delighted in fishing and greatly enjoyed Nascar, Redskins Football, and basketball (especially women's basketball with Caitlin Clark as his favorite).  While attending Mt. Rogers High School he was involved in basketball and baseball.  He was later actively involved in community softball league.

Ronnie will be remembered as an easy-going man who was a loyal friend.  He never had a bad word to say about anybody and expected the same from his boys.   Ronnie greatly enjoyed the companionship offered to him by his Chihuahua, Dixie!  Throughout the final days of his life, he showed concern for others.  His life exemplified simplicity, empathy, and honesty.  Among the many attributes associated with Ronnie, none shone greater than his dedication and love for his two boys.  He was a loyal father as his boys were simply his life!  And now with Ronnie's passing, they are given a legacy of simplicity, honesty, and integrity.

Ronnie is survived by his two sons, Isaac Wiles and Evie Evans of the home, William Booker Wiles of the home; one sister, Teresa Wiles of West Jefferson, NC; one brother, Pete Wiles of Whitetop, VA; sister-in-law, Wanda Wiles of Mouth of Wilson, VA; six nieces and 5 nephews; and a host of extended family, friends, and neighbors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Roger, Bob, Mike, and Ed; one sister, Laura, and a special father-in-law, Bobby Delp.

Graveside services will be conducted at the Walls Cemetery in Whitetop, VA on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Rev. John Hall and Mike Finley officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family C/O Isaac Wiles 480 Lowgap Road Mouth of Wilson, VA 24363.
