Rose Mary Hash Fritze, age, 80 of Elk Creek, Virginia died on January 12, 2021 at the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center in Independence, Virginia.  She was born on April 16, 1940 in Westchester, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Mary Rose Jenkins Hash.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gary Fritze, and four brothers.

She is survived by son, Patrick Fritze of Elk Creek, Virginia; granddaughter, Elizabeth and Ty Hash of Elk Creek, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Julie Fritze and Steve Whitt of Elk Creek, Virginia; two sisters-in-law, Larue Fritze of Edgewood, Maryland and Laura Fritze Smith of Dundalk, Maryland; several special nieces and nephews also survive.

She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Elk Creek, The Order of the Eastern Star, Grayson County VFW Post 7726, Ladies Auxiliary.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Comers Rock Cemetery in Elk Creek, Virginia by Rev. Gleasanna Dixon and Rev. Bill Shupe.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Elk Creek Rescue Squad PO Box 36 Elk Creek, Virginia 24326 or the Elk Creek Fire Department PO Box 306 Elk Creek, Virginia 24326.
