Ruby Wilma Roberts, age, 93, of Independence, VA (The Pine Mountain Community) died on December 28, 2020 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Laurel Fork, Virginia.  She was born on September 10, 1927 in Independence, Virginia to Carl F. and Flora Houk Lane.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Roberts, brothers, Daniel Alan Lane and Edgar Lane.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Peggy Lane and Jeff Smith, Ginger and Bobby Gilbert, Becky and Ricky Nelson, Lois and Bill Patterson, Tammy and Jimmy Jones, and Debbie Anderson, David Lane and Cheryl Kenyon, Carl Lane, Charles Lane, Jeff and Beckie Roberts; sister-in-law, Barbara Lane; several great-nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be conducted at the Hackler Cemetery at 2:30 on Saturday, January 2, 2021 by Rev. Doug Stuart.
