Ruth Ross Sapp, age 85, of Elk Creek, Virginia died at her home April 10, 2019.  She was born November 14, 1933 in Razor Ridge, Grant Community to John Marion and Alice Bedwell Ross.  She was the widow of James Allen Sapp.

She is survived by four daughters, Wanda Hale and husband, Bud Haroldsen of Culpeper, Virginia, Mildred Alley and husband David of Woodlawn, Virginia, Evelyn Sutherland and husband, Rex, of Elk Creek, Virginia, Phyllis Taylor and husband, Michael of Vinton, Virginia; one son, Kenneth Sapp and wife, Janice of Elk Creek, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Eric and Courtney Hale, Amy Hale, Mary and Eddie Winkler, Curtis and Shelby Troy, Chris and Robin Sutherland, Heather Taylor, Brittney and Ethan Felts, eleven great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hudson, Makenzie, Daniel, Noah, Josh, Scarlet, Shayln, Alyssa, Jaycee, Colby; one brother, Gene Ross of Saltville, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the Bethel Community Center on Bethel Road in Elk Creek on April 28 , 2019 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Mark Lynch officiating.  The inurnment will follow at the Harrington Cemetery on Bethel Road in Elk Creek, Virginia.
