Shane Adam Minshew, age 22, of Independence Virginia passed away at his home on Monday March 11, 2024.  He was born in Columbus Georgia on March 19, 2001, to Clifford Robert Minshew and Darlene Michelle Brookshire Minshew Hagler.   Shane was a dedicated Georgia Bulldog Fan who always made a way to watch a game and support his team.  He loved being with his grandmother and his baby sister.  He was a much-loved member of his family whose presence will be greatly missed.  While the family is heart-broken and deeply grieves the loss, they are a family of faith and rests in the comfort that they will see him again.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Darlene and Michael Hagler of the home; his father, Clifford Minshew of Independence; four brothers, C. J. Minshew of Independence, Chris Evans and Clayton Smith of GA, Connor Hagler of Independence; three sisters, Camryn Hagler of Galax, Katie Minshew of Independence, and Adalyn Hagler of Independence; maternal grandmother, Joann Brookshire of GA; step-paternal grandmother, Teresa Saxon of GA; several aunts; and five nieces also survive.

Private services will be conducted at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael Toomey officiating.
