Sharon Leola Bonham Reedy, age 74, of Troutdale, Virginia died on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the Grayson Nursing and Rehab center in Independence, Virginia.  She was born in Smyth County, Virginia on February 12, 1948 to Charlie and Vinnie Keys Bonham. She was the widow of Earlie Willis Reedy. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her siblings, Grover Bonham, Margie Cox, Mabel Waller, Lucille Testerman, Eva Spencer, Genell Blevins, Martha Robinson, Lawrence Bonham, Ralph Bonham and Wanda Sumner.

Mrs. Reedy will be remembered as one who found her greatest joy in providing for others.  She was a caregiver for her sisters and neighbors.  She enjoyed the Senior Adult trips.  She was very fond of her dog, Candy, that had been a dedicated companion to her.  She was a very devoted grandmother who enjoyed every moment she could spend with her grandchildren which was usually every weekend and every summer!

She is survived by her son Stanley and Joyce Reedy of Crumpler, NC; one brother, Robert and Hattie Bonham of Bel Air, MD; two grandchildren, Megan and Bradley Eggers of Hickory, NC and Jordan Reedy of Crumpler, NC; special friends, Christy and Jo Finley of Troutdale, Virginia Reedy of Troutdale, VA, and Brenda Honeycutt of Independence, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Halsey and Rev. Tim Boyette officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery in Rugby, Virginia.  The family respectfully request no food please.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Hill Baptist Church 7614 Troutdale Highway Troutdale, VA 24378.
