With great sadness the family of Shelly Osborne Clampett, age 47, of Independence, VA, announces her death on the early hours of Sunday morning, October 12, 2025. She was born on September 18, 1978, in Sparta, North Carolina to Jerry Lee and Faye Kilby Osborne. She graduated from Independence High School and earned her B.S. Degree from Radford University with a degree in Sports Health Education in 2009. Her education enabled her to fulfill her passion of helping people who were confined to their homes due to a debilitating disease. She was employed by Grayson County School System as an educator of the homebound, a position which brought her great fulfillment. As an avid Duke fan, she was very vocal and animated! Her enthusiasm over a Duke game, brought much excitement to her home! She loved music and thoroughly enjoyed attending concerts. Shelly was a devoted fan of WIllie Nelson! She will be best remembered as a loving wife to her husband and a dedicated mother to her two boys. She described those three men in her life as the "light of my life" and "my world." Shelly's faith in Jesus Christ grew tremendously throughout her illness and carried her through until the Lord called her home.
