Shirley Young Jordan, age 75, of Burlington, North Carolina, formerly of Independence, Virginia died on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Independence, Virginia, she was the daughter of Fields. R Young and Martha Haun Young, both deceased.  She retired as an assistant manager from the Dollar General.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in McLeansville, North Carolina.

She is survived by her ex-husband, Bobby Ray Jordan; two stepdaughters, Renee Wilson and Laura Lapan; three step-grandchildren, Samantha, April, and Daniel; five step great-grandchildren; and brother, Fields. R. Young, Jr. and wife, Brenda.
