Shirley Louise Smith Sells, age 83, of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia died on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the home of her daughter in Stratford, NC.   She was born on April 20, 1937 in Galax, Virginia to Dwight and Wilma Hill Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Grover Lee Sells of the home; one daughter, Carolyn Church of Stratford, NC; two sons, Steven Jones of Winston-Salem, NC and Jarrell Jones of Stratford, NC, one granddaughter, Ashton Jones of Winston-Salem, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Becky Smith of Piney Creek, NC.  Other survivors include step-daughter, Brenda Beissel of Felton, Delaware and step son and wife, Jeffrey and Teresa Sells of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia; two step grandsons, and four step grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Betty Smith Burchette and Anna Ruth Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Doug Halsey and Rev. Dwight Sells.  Burial will follow in the Piney Creek Cemetery in Piney Creek, NC.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
