Stanley Allan Townsend's Obituary
Stanley Allan Townsend, age 88, of Troutdale, Virginia, passed away on Monday, March 18th, 2019, at Hospice House in Bristol, Tennessee.
He was born August 9th, 1930, in Mount Holly, New Jersey. He was a US Navy veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.
Allan was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Irene Hamm Sullivan Townsend and step grandson, Thomas Baynton. .
Survivors include two step children, Eleanor Sullivan Baynton of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Bob Sullivan of Troutdale, Virginia. He has one step grandson, Timothy Allen Sullivan of McMinnville, Oregon and a niece, Beverly Madenbaugh of Columbus, New Jersey.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 25th at 2:00 PM at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time. Interment will follow at Honey Grove Cemetery in Flatridge, Virginia with Military Rites conducted by Grayson County V.F.W. Post # 7726.
