Thomas Rex Roberts, 76, of Independence, passed away May 28 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC.

He is survived by his Sister Evonne Roberts Woodie of Independence, VA; Aunt Catherine Reeves of Independence, VA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday June 1 at Independence Cemetery at 11:00am.  Military Rites will be conducted by VFW post 7726 with Joe Reeves officiating.

Family requests consider memorial contributions to Independence Volunteer Fire Department or Independence Rescue Squad.

Following service, family may call Joe Reeves.
