Mr. Tony Randall Akers, age 54, of Galax, died December 31, 2017 at the Forsyth Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. He was born December 20, 1963, in Harvey, Illinois to Carl Raymond and Rosa Lee Catron Akers.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday morning at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM with private burial to follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Independence, Virginia. There will be no visitation.

Mr. Akers is survived by his father: Carl Raymond Akers of Galax, Virginia; Daughter and son-in-law: Ashley and Brad Ashley of Lenoir, NC; Brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth and Lori Akers of Fancy Gap, Virginia; Fiancée: Macy Bare of Crumpler, NC; Several Aunts and Uncles and cousins also survive.
