Tressie Faye Miller, age 92, of Independence, Virginia, died on December 1, 2020 at the Waddell Nursing Home in Galax, Virginia.  She was born on July 31, 1928 in Lansing, North Carolina to Byron and Sarah Shepherd Carpenter.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Miller;  two sons Dallas Stanley and Don Elvis Miller.

She is survived by three sons, Bobby Miller, Tommy Miller, and Kenny Miller all of Galax, Virginia; two daughters and spouses, Betty and Herbert Graham of Galax, Virginia and Bonnie and Russell Quesenberry of Dugspur, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Chapel by Minister Danny Miller.  The family will be at the funeral home from 11:00-2:00 prior to the funeral service.
