Trevor Lee Blevins

Trevor Lee Blevins, age 24, of Whitetop, VA passed away on Monday evening at the Ashe Memorial Hospital as the result of a motorcycle accident. Trevor was born on December 12, 2001, in Jefferson, NC to Steve Blevins and Cissy Conklin Cantrell. Tevor was 100% mountain boy. He loved being outdoors and often boasted of hunting when in reality he was visiting the woods and enjoy God’s creation that surrounded him. He was not very good at sitting still and remaining calm for extended periods of time. He was always on the move in search of somebody who needed his help. Trevor found his greatest joy in helping people. He had a heart of gold and was always ready to drop anything he was doing to help a friend or neighbor. The Whitetop Community depended on Trevor for car repair, washing machine hook-ups, water heater installations, small engine repairs, or any other type of help that this capable multi-tasking boy could offer. His kind and generous spirit along with his beautiful smile and his endearing blue eyes, made him a much-loved member of the Whitetop Community whose absence has left a void that that has touched the whole community. Trevor was deeply bonded with his brother and was especially fond of his niece in whom he found much joy. He was a devoted friend to many and never took the bonds of friendship lightly.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Lester Blevins; maternal grandfather, Raymond Conklin; two half-sisters, Ericia Leigh Ann Blevins and Raven Grace Contrell.

He is survived by his father, Steve and Tricia Blevins of the home; mother, Cissy and James Contrell of West Jefferson, NC; one brother, Shane Blevins of West Jefferson, NC; paternal grandmother, Sue Blevins of Whitetop, VA; maternal grandmother, Connie Conklin of Mississippi; one step-sister, Molly and Wes Porter of West Jefferson, NC; niece, Shaleigh Blevins of West Jefferson, NC; special friends, Tonya Patrick and Doris Carp; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends also survive.
