Velva Louise Sizemore, age 69, of Whitetop, Virginia died on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at her home.  She was born on January 14, 1951 to Walter and Mary Ann Wingler Kilby in Grassy Creek, North Carolina.  In addition to her father and mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Sizemore; brothers, Bobby Jean Kilby and Walter Wade Kilby.

She is survived by her children, Kim Kilby of Meadowview, Virginia; William (Bass) Sizemore and wife, Jesse of Green Cove Virginia, Cindy and Larry Perkins and of Warrensville, North Carolina: grandchildren, Samantha Strugill, Cody Goodman, Patrick and Britney Sizemore, Haili Davis, Abby Sizemore, Sam Perkins; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl Kilby of Ashe County, NC, Donna Miller of Lansing, NC, Sarah and Len Perry of Lansing, North Carolina; brothers, Roy and Joan Kilby of Whitetop, Virginia, Billy and Coleen Kilby of Gainsville, Georgia, Clabeorne and Lisa Kilby of Troutdale, Virginia.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at 11:00 AM at the Whitetop Baptist Church by Rev.  Jeffrey Blevins.  Burial will follow in the Greer Cemetery in the Cabin Creek Community of Whitetop, Virginia.  The family will be at the church prior to the service from 10:00 until the hour of service.
