Mr. Freeman was born to John Freeman and Ossie Ward Freeman. He passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 in Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA

Surviving, Wife, Janet Lee Anders Freeman of the home; Son and Spouse, Bryan Ray and Angela Freeman of Galax, Virginia; Three Sisters and Spouse, Wanda Osborne of Galax, Virginia, Doris and Larry Lineberry of Independence, Virginia; Judy and James Wilson of Independence, Virginia; Brother and Spouse, David and Gail Ward of Independence, Virginia; Grandson, Christopher Baldwin of Houston, TX

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ossie Freeman, step-father, Paul Ward, two sisters, Irene Carrico and Verna Paisley, two brothers, Estil Freeman and Guy Freeman and a niece, Mamie Reys

Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 3:30 P.M. at the Locust Grove Church of Christ, Galax, Virginia. Craig Embree and Captain Jerry Lester will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Independence, VA
