Obituary

Vivian Reedy Osborne died peacefully in her home April 15.

She was born March 19, 1935 in Whitetop, VA.  Her parents were Glen Victor and Jincie Jones Reedy.

Her husband, Van R. Osborne and her son, Larry Van Osborne, preceded her in death.

Survivors include one brother Jimmie Reedy, her daughters, Lynn Butcher, husband Jim, Bristol, Tennessee, and Lena McNeese, husband, Jeff, Greeneville, Tennessee, Daughter-in-law, Jill Osborne, Grassy Creek   Grandchildren Cassie Peters and husband, Mike Lang (Richmond) Jamie Butcher, and husband, Ryan Bonfiglio, (Atlanta, GA) Luke McNeese and wife, Shelby, (Omaha, NE) and Andy McNeese (Mount Vernon, Washington), Wes Marshburn and wife, Allyson, (Roanoke). Great grandchildren Elise and Noah Peters; Leo Bonfiglio, Micah and Josiah McNeese, Aiden and Emma Marshbun.  And many nieces and nephews and Special friend, Rex Halsey.

As a young bride and mother, Vivian began her lifelong passion with needlework of all types under the guidance of her mother-in-law, Leva Osborne, and the women of the Home Demonstration Club in Rugby.  She was a business owner and an Avon Representative for 54 years. She was active in Senior Citizen groups in Whitetop and Independence.  Vivian loved her family, friends, and the Rugby community.  Her smile was contagious; she never met a stranger, and delighted in her many visitors during the last few weeks.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rugby Rescue Squad.  Funeral will be Monday, April 22 at 12:00 noon at the Haw Orchard Baptist Church in Whitetop.  Visitation will be prior to the interment from 10:30-12:00.
