Wayne Anthony Dickerson (Greez), was born in Rockingham County, NC, on September 27, 1968, to Walter and Dorothy Mae Hampton Dickerson.

He transitioned his life on Thursday, March 12th, 2026, at his home, making his stay on earth 57 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Douglas Dickerson and Richard Dickerson.

He is survived by his daughter Ta'sha Dickerson of Galax, VA; son and daughter-in-law Tanner and Megan Dickerson of Fries, VA; six grandchildren Daniel Munoz, Genesis Munoz, Beau Dickerson, Evelynn Dickerson, Nayeli Colindres and Araceli Colindres; brother Walter H. Dickerson Jr of Clemmons, NC; sisters and brothers-in-law Melissa Dickerson of Galax, VA, Dorothea Dickerson and Saber Muslim of Texas, Gwendolyn and Kenny McAdoo of Greensboro, NC; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles in North Carolina; special Brothers David Proctor of Independence, VA; Ellis Hampton of Woodlawn, VA; special friend/mother of his children Kechia Burchette of Galax, VA.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 18, at 1:00pm at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel in Independence, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
