Willard was born at Independence, Virginia, to Ralph G. Edwards and Alberta Anders Edwards. He passed away at his home in Elk Creek, VA.

Surviving, wife, Nancy R. Edwards of the home; son and wife, Ricky and Janet Edwards of Elk Creek, VA; granddaughter and spouse, Nicki and Jessie Tilson of Independence, VA; one great-grandson, Jagger Tilson of Independence; sisters and spouses, Joyce and Bobby Sykes of Galax, Shelvy and Roger Edwards of Galax, Lois Harmon of Galax, Betty Jo and Harold McGraw of Mt. Airy, NC and Judy and Don Lundy of Galax and several nieces and nephews also survive

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 13, 2017
in Forest Cemetery, Elk Creek, VA. Rev. Johnny Johnson will officiate. There will not be a visitation at the funeral home, however family and friends may call at the home of Mr. Edwards, 10977 Elk Creek Parkway, Elk Creek, VA at any time
