William" Bill" E. Ziglar, 72, of Elk Creek, Virginia died on January 17, 2022 at the Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, Virginia.  Bill was born on September 25, 1949 in Walkertown, NC to Thomas and Mary Ziglar. He was employed at Best Cartage in Kernersville, NC where he developed many close friendships. He will be remembered as one who was always helping others by lending a helping hand. In his retirement years, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, goat farming, and driving around checking in on his neighbors.  He had a quick sense of humor and found great joy in aggravating his sisters.  He will be missed by all that had the joy of knowing him and especially his best buddy, Steve.

Bill is survived by his wife, Kathleen A. Ziglar of the home; two sons, Billy Wayne Ziglar and Joseph and Trish Ziglar of Advance, NC; two daughters, Samantha and Matthew Hill of Thomasville, NC and Katye Phillips of Kure Beach, NC; three sisters, Doris Moffitt, Linda Shelton, and Brenda and Buddy Bowman of Walkertown, NC; grandchildren, Kurstin Hayes, Emily Dugguns, Wayne Connelly, and John Allen Ziglar; three great-grandsons, Landon, Layton, and Maverick; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial contributions be made to your local animal shelter or to your local food bank.

The family wishes to express their most sincere appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Twin County Regional Hospital and to all who have expressed thoughts and prayers for them.
