William Scott Jones, age 77, stepped over into Heaven on April 5, 2021 to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior. His precious wife Lois, father and mother Coy and Anna Belle, sisters Wanda Hayes and Wilma Warren all greeted him in Heaven.

Scott is survived by Sons and daughters-by-love Mark & Debbie Jones of Wytheville, VA, Jodey & Melanie Jones of Flat Ridge, VA; one precious granddaughter Adalyn Grace Jones "Poppy's Angel" of Flat Ridge, VA; 5 step grandchildren Branden, Emily, Laura, Matthew & Lindsey; 3 step great grandchildren;  brother and sister-in-law Ronnie & Loretta Jones of Independence, VA; many Brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews also survive

Scott was a lifelong member of Grubbs Chapel Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, Clerk, Superintendent of Sunday School and Sunday School Teacher.  Scott retired from Parsons Motor Company.  Scott never met a stranger, he always wanted you to know about his Jesus, he could always make you smile, he was greatly loved and will be missed by many.

Funeral Service will be held Friday April 9 at 11:00am at Grubbs Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Ben Tidwell, Pastor Junior Bullion, and Pastor Derek Cowan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Grubbs Chapel Baptist Church or Cemetery, c/o Rhonda Edwards 94 Mystic View Lane Independence, VA  24348

Interment will be at Grubbs Chapel Cemetery.
