William Dale Young, Jr ("Dale", Pipa, Grandpa), 75, passed away February 28th, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Dale was born in Bakersfield, California on June 22nd, 1949 to Maxine Ruby VanHoy and William Dale Young, Sr.. He grew up in Middle River, Maryland, where he graduated from Kenwood High School, and went on to study at the University of Maryland, College Park.

He had a long career with Price Waterhouse beginning in the 1970's. He later became a partner in the firm, and eventually headed the Seoul, South Korea, office for several years. Throughout his career he worked on various projects including with Purdue Farms, the Port of Baltimore, and the State of Virginia. Among other accolades he received a letter of recognition from the United Nations for his efforts in technology advancement. Dale retired from PWC in the early 2000's.

In retirement, Dale became a Grayson County, VA resident. He purchased the farm on which his father had grown-up and brought it back into the family. He reconstructed a home on the property, designed in part based on a painting of the original farmhouse. He was a fan of history and genealogy, and was a leader in the Grayson County Heritage Foundation.

Dale was an avid Orioles, Ravens, and Terps fan. No matter where he was in the country, he would call to remind his sons that "the game" was on.

The thing that he was most proud of was his family. Dale has 3 sons, 12 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He found his greatest joy in the company of his family and cherished every moment he spent with them.

Dale is survived by wife Yoon, his sons, Christopher, Nicholas, and Theodore, and his sons' mother, Mary; Grandchildren: (Chris) Aly, Ryan, Jake, Noah; (Nick) Nathan, Austin, Samantha, Alex; (Ted) Sophia, Campbell, Evelyn, Finley; Great Grandchildren: (Aly)Blair, Warren; and Siblings: Judy, Bob, Mike, Steve, Laura, Sue, and Mary.
