Wilmer Breece Evans, age 80,of Independence, Virginia died on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Twin County Community Hospital in Galax, Virginia.  He was born on May 7, 1940 in Sparta, North Carolina to Lou Caudill.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Evans.

He is survived by two sons, Richard and Kimberly Evans of Memphis, Tennessee and Jason and Tiffany Evans of Independence, Virginia; four daughters, Diane and William Palmer of Sylvester, Georgia, Barbara Evans and Pamela and Tony Lackey all of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, and  Susan Marullo of Hillsville, Virginia, twenty one grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Myrtle Caudill of Laurel Springs, North Carolina.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday September 3, 2020 at 11:00 at the Crouse Cemetery in Alleghany County, North Carolina by Rev. Randy Hamm and Rev. Dusty Reedy. There will be no public visitation.  The family sincerely requests no food.
