Winnie Ruth Reedy Hart, age 82, of Alvin, Texas, formerly of Grayson County, the Rugby Community passed away in Texas on Thursday, March 16, 2023. She was born in Rugby on November 21, 1940, to Willie and Mazie Faye Plummer Reedy.  Her children rejoice that their precious mother has a new residence on the street of gold where many mansions abound! In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Early "Eddie" Hart; two brothers, Kyle Reedy and Howard Reedy; one sister, Kate Hall.

She is survived by two daughters, Tammy and Albert Blackburn of Marion, VA; Kristi and T.J. Nelson of North Pole, Alaska; one son, Eddie and Christi Hart of Dickinson, Texas; one brother, Elmer "Mack" and Ella Mae Reedy of Troutdale, VA; one sister-in-law, Mary Reedy of Chilhowee, VA; seven grandchildren, Tiffany and Joey, Trevor and Lynzi, Taryn, Alyssa and Ryan, Lauren, McKenna and Colton; nine great-grandchildren, Harper, Mia Bella, Blake, Hudson, Oliver, Rhett, Katie, Noah, and Cooper.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Liberty Hill Baptist Church 7614 Troutdale Highway Troutdale, VA 24378 with Pastor Tim Boyette and Pastor Roger Hearl officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 at the church prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery in Rugby.
