"Zachary Scott Bailey, 41, of Grayson County, Virginia, passed away on February 23, 2026.
Zack was born on March 19, 1984, in Galax, Virginia.

In 2005, Zack joined the United States Marine Corps. During his service, he completed a full tour in Iraq. He had been scheduled to serve a second tour but was injured and was no longer medically approved for active duty. He completed the remainder of his service stateside. His time in the Marines reflected his love for his country and his desire to fight for its freedom.

Zack is survived by his son, Will Bailey; his mother, Kimberly Ann Hamm; his father, Jeffrey Ray Wilson; his stepmother, Sherrie Wilson; and his siblings, Aaren Bare, Reece Wilson, and Amie Hamm.

A memorial service to honor Zack's life will be held on Sunday, March 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Living By Faith Baptist Church, located at 343 Hilltop Drive, Independence, Virginia 24348.  There will be a dinner immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall and all are welcome.
